HawkEye combines a portable slit lamp with an internal digital camera to enable the user:
  • to take a picture of the patient's eye in real time
  • to record the image on a flash disk, Palmtop or portable PC
  • to share images over the Internet
  • to communicate with the patient, referent or the owner of the animal
  • to work on laboratory animals and increase research productivity quickly and easily.

The portability of HawkEye enables the human ophthalmologist to work with:
  • difficult or disabled patients
  • young children
  • bedridden or injured persons who have difficulty using conventional equipment.

The digital camera allows for immediate comparison of pre- andpost-procedure conditions, to provide immediate feedback andjustification to the patient.

The digital camera also offers all the flexibility of electroniccommunication with patients, doctors, referents, colleagues, or theowner of veterinary subjects.

The internal battery and white LED illumination permit 2 hoursof portable operation. A power cord permits operation or rechargingfrom a wall outlet or lighter plug in your car.
